AirCare has been providing emergency medical flights to patients all over the Four Corners since its inception on October 15, 1986.
A lot has changed over the years. AirCare began as an on-call service with a charter plane and just one employee. Today, it’s a busy around-the-clock operation with more than 30 staff members and hospital-owned aircraft that are the best in the business for patient care. One thing that has stayed the same is AirCare’s commitment to safety and quality for its patients. The department has been accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Air Medical Services continuously since 1995. AirCare continues to raise the bar for patient care and safety by adhering to the commission’s high standards year after year.
AirCare wouldn’t be what it is today without the people and partnerships involved. The numerous contributions and continued support of San Juan Regional Medical Center staff members, the City of Farmington, San Juan County and area dispatchers have helped AirCare fly high for the past 35 years, with many more to come.
