Childbirth Preparation Series: The Childbirth Preparation Series invites moms and their families/support person to learn the basics of a healthy pregnancy and birth, what to expect once baby is born, newborn basics and beyond. During the four week sessions, topics covered include comfort measures, breathing, relaxation, the stages and phases of labor, support person skills, medical interventions in labor, the first few weeks at home and postpartum care. Emphasis is placed on having a healthy pregnancy, understanding the physical and emotional challenges of labor and delivery and getting to know other pregnant women and families.
The classes are free of charge as a benefit to expecting parents in our community compliments of San Juan Regional Medical Center, your community owned and operated hospital. The four-week sessions will be held virtually via Zoom each Thursday throughout the month from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Register by calling 505.609.2134 or online at: https://www.sanjuanregional.com/creg/
