Funders History
McCune Charitable Foundation, established by Marshall and Perrine McCune for the benefit of New Mexicans awarded a grant to F.E.T. Healthy Kids for health and wellness education. The generosity of the McCune Foundation supported teachers and administrators from the board selected 2011 Aztec, Bloomfield and Farmington elementary schools to participate in the Full Engagement Training program.
Healthy F.E.T. Kids has received a grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico in 2011 and 2012 which allowed additional teachers from selected Aztec, Bloomfield and Farmington schools to participate in the Full Engagement Training program. When teachers embrace a healthier lifestyle for themselves and their families and also learn how to incorporate these principles into their classrooms, a sustainable benefit for all is achieved. Grants are awarded to provide programs and organizations that that align with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico’s mission to promote health and wellness in the communities they serve.
BHP Billiton, a leading global resources company with operations in San Juan County awarded F.E.T. Healthy Kids a grant from BHP Billiton’s Community Investment Program. In 2010 and 2012 through its Community Investment Fund program, BHP helps to provide lasting social, environmental, and economic benefits to communities.
Generous funding through the Walmart Foundation during 2011 and 2012 allowed board-selected teachers and administrators from Aztec, Bloomfield and Farmington elementary schools to participate in the Healthy F.E.T. Kids Program
