Our History

In September 2007, San Juan Regional Medical Center staff, Human Performance Institute in Orlando, Florida and representatives from Farmington, Aztec, and Bloomfield municipal schools initiated a partnership to improve student health and school performance. As a result a visions statement was created: Our schools are models of integrated health and learning. As a result, our school communities are healthier, happier and more fully engaged in learning and life, reflecting the mission, vision, and philosophy of San Juan Regional Medical Center and the three district school.

Goals of the Healthy F.E.T. Kids program:

• Increase knowledge of healthy habits
• Adapt healthy beliefs
• Implement positive healthy behaviors

Testimonials

This is the best class I have ever taken! I learned that it’s not just about diet and exercise, it is so much more – B.C.

I loved this program! It gave me so much insight on who I am and what I need to do to change. All the instructors were great and very informative and helpful. Thank you, you have helped me beyond words!

This program was so much more than I thought it was. Thank you so much for bringing those tools to my life.

Great program! I especially liked the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects.

Thank you for giving me hope.

This was the best class I have ever taken.  I learned it’s not just about diet and exercise, it is much more.

It was nice that the spiritual aspect of F.E.T. training was focused on what could be more person-centered and not specifically religions.  It made it relevant for atheists as well, which was critical for keeping my interest in that aspect.  And how food and exercise related to energy levels was SO valuable for me!!  Thank you.

Due to retirement and a possible move I am very interested but may not be in this area to follow through on Rechargers, coaching, etc. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I LOVED THIS PROGRAM!  Gave me so much insight on who I am and what I need to change.  All instructors were GREAT and very informative and helpful. Thank you to each and every one of you!  You have helped me beyond words!

I appreciated being pushed just enough to act without (insistence?) on participating when personal feelings were involved.
