Wednesday, February 1, 2012 San Juan Regional Medical Center offers community $15 lipid panels during Heart Month
In an effort to help community members take an active role in their healthcare—and to celebrate Heart Month—San Juan Regional Medical Center is offering lipid panels for $15 during its February Love Your Heart campaign. The lipid panel screens for triglycerides, cholesterol, HDL, LDL, VLDL, and LDL/HDL ratio. This panel is an effective screening tool to check your heart’s health, especially when taken to a primary care physician to be accurately interpreted.

A voucher for the lipid panel can be obtained by either going to the A Fair of the Heart health fair on Saturday, February 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 407 South Schwartz in Farmington, or by downloading it from our website at www.sanjuanregional.com/loveyourheart. In order to ensure the accuracy of results, participants are encouraged to fast for 12 hours (water is acceptable) prior to having their blood drawn. Only cash and checks will be accepted.

The blood tests can be done on a walk-in basis at:

Outpatient Diagnostic Center
