Program Overview

Lifestyle Balance is a 10-month program that has demonstrated effectiveness in improving the health of people living with prediabetes.  Participants meet in a group setting to learn about important changes that can prevent or delay type 2 diabetes.  The groups setting provides educational sessions on healthy eating, exercise tips and strategies, the power of positive thought, self-coaching, and surviving set-backs.  Individual coaching sessions are provided to help you create a health plan that fits with your life.  These private sessions also create an opportunity to problem solve barriers that prevent you from making successful change.

At the end of the program, you will have created the healthy habits necessary to control your blood glucose and prevent type 2 diabetes.  More importantly, you will leave with the knowledge of how to get back on track with healthy habits when “life storms” hit.  The ability to get back on track is the key to sustainable weight loss/maintenance for long term health.
